Paulette Bearer Appointed as Interim Director of Student Services

At the November 9, 2015 Regular Public Meeting of the Delran Township Board of Education, Mrs. Paulette Bearer was approved to assume the Interim Director of Student Services position.  Mrs. Bearer began serving the district this morning.

Mrs. Bearer recently completed a two year interim position as the Supervisor of Student Services in South Hunterdon Regional Schools.  Her work there came at an exciting time whereupon the district engaged in the process of regionalization.  This process is highly complex and requires much coordination; the area of student services and special education inclusive.

Prior to her retirement, Ms. Bearer served as the Supervisor of Student Services in Cedar Grove Public Schools for two years.  She also served as a Principal in several high performing districts during her career; namely Moorestown, Montgomery and Readington Township.

In addition to the administrative certifications of Principal and Supervisor she also holds certifications in English, Elementary Education, Teacher of the Handicapped and Teacher of the Hearing Impaired.

Her knowledge of special education law and administrative code was evident in the interview process, as was her understanding of Realtime, the district student database platform.  Additionally, her leadership of Child Study Teams and experience in all areas of special education make her an attractive candidate.  Her past experiences as an Interim of Student Services has demonstrated her ability to fit into the needs of the organization while leading the area of student services.

Please join me in welcoming Paulette to the District.

Sincerely,
